I love working with athletes because athletes of all ages are motivated to not only feel better but function and perform at the highest levels. That gets at the heart of what chiropractic espouses. We want to help people function optimally. We believe that if your nervous system, which controls every function in your body, is functioning at it’s highest level then you will likely have better if not your best health.
I also love working with athletes since I am an athlete. I have been a long-time runner, martial artist, and yogi. Over the years, I have worked with many runners, triathletes, martial artists, weight lifters, baseball players, basketball players, yogi’s, golfers, gymnasts, tennis players, soccer players, football players, etc. Chiropractic is incredible with improving athletic performance, and with recovery from varying levels of injury from athletic performance. Some of the athletes I’ve worked with achieved their best performances while under chiropractic care with me.
For example, one of the triathletes I worked with had long standing issues with her lower back. I found that she had subluxations in her lumbar spine and pelvis which were causing numbness in her legs especially while swimming. She said her training was really being affected by what was happening in her back. After some time under my care, her nervous system was functioning much more optimally and not only did her back pain and leg numbness resolve, she was also able to finally qualify for one of the most prestigious triathlon’s in the world located in Hawaii.
